Hunting tourism

Scotland - Aberdeenshire

Reason for interest:

Aberdeenshire is a region located in the north of Scotland on the North Sea. The region is washed by two rivers that flow to Aberdeen: the Dee and the Don.

165 miles of impressive cliffs to discover, suggestive coves, paradisiacal beaches, charming villages and wonderful animal species along the coastal route of Aberdeenshire. The refreshing walks in St Cyrus National Nature Reserve, the visits to the wonderful ruins of the castle of Dunnottar, perched on a cliff, and the exploration of the suggestive coastal village of Stonehaven, where you can enjoy delicious fresh fish. All accompanied by kilometers of cliffs and golden sand dunes inside the extraordinary National Nature Reserve, where to spot peregrine falcons, rare species of flowers, butterflies and moths.

Do not miss the nearby Forvie National Nature Reserve and the Ythan estuary, to observe eiders and seals basking on the estuary mouth. Also important is a visit to the six suggestive Scottish castles, such as the fascinating Museum of Scottish Lighthouses and the Kinnaird Castle, on the top of which rises Kinnaird Head Lighthouse, dating from the eighteenth century, the first lighthouse to be built on the Scottish mainland.
